Cricnix

Founder & Engineer

A platform for the cricket community — first launched in 2019, now being rebuilt as v2.

.NETTypeScriptFlutterDocker

Problem

Cricket outside the professional game is organized informally — teams, matches, and records live in chat groups and memory. Cricnix set out to give the everyday cricket community a proper home for organizing and tracking their game.

Approach

Launched as a full product in 2019 and ran against real users. The current v2 rebuild applies everything learned since — about the product and about a decade of engineering practice — rebuilding the platform on a modernized stack while keeping the original product as the domain reference.

Architecture

The original platform pairs .NET services with a TypeScript web front-end and a Flutter mobile app, containerized with Docker. The v2 rebuild modernizes this foundation, informed by side-by-side comparison with the running legacy system.

Outcome

A live product lineage spanning six-plus years of continuous ownership — the rare portfolio piece that shows product judgment, long-term maintenance, and the discipline to rebuild rather than patch.
